We have a brand new role to join our growing Retail Investment team, to work alongside our Retail Distribution team, to help develop proposition and technical consultancy services to strategic partners looking to enhance their retirement solutions by developing differentiated and market leading decumulation solutions.
The Proposition Specialist will focus on driving increased adoption of Retail Investment solutions, and maximising Advisor retention by helping Advisers integrate our solutions, tools and content within their workflows.
This role would be idea for someone with an adviser success or portfolio specialist experience in an asset management / DFM (Discretionary Fund Management), to expand their knowledge, or someone with an asset management / DFM experience in distribution, who is looking to grow their proposition management experience.
Reporting into the Head of Retail Investment Solutions, you will be key in driving business growth within our Investment Solutions proposition, understanding our strategic partners short and long terms needs and present to these partners, alongside the Retail Distribution team.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop tailored decumulation solutions that meet the needs of our partners by leveraging our Retail Invest Solutions propositions and integration capabilities.
Collaborate with third parties and internal stakeholders – including distribution, to provide a cohesive service experience to advisers in a proactive manner, throughout the various sales stages
Support the process of developing these solutions, including business case, specification, systems & process development, MI, messaging and collateral.
Build strong relationships long lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
Work cross functionally, and particularly closely with Distribution, Proposition and Marketing to support the adoption of our Retail Investment Solutions through the various client relationship stages – from initial engagement to ongoing relationship management.
Support the distribution team to embed these solutions, including issue resolution and objection handling.
Develop market insight (particularly in relation to attitudes, processes, opportunities, barriers and commercial drivers) and identity opportunities for new Retail Investment Solutions initiatives.
Work with the product development actuary to model client scenarios to support advisor and investment management conversations
Skills and Experience:
Ability to travel in the UK for business needed – travel will mainly be London but UK wide too
Experience within the UK financial services industry, in particular of asset management/DFM or wealth management (desirable)
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction and risk management
Good understanding of technology used in financial and retirement planning
Strong analytical, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner
A keen interest in retirement income and a desire to work on innovative new solutions within this market
IMC or Diploma Qualified with J10 equivalent (desirable)
