The role holder is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller role with the financial accounting, control and reporting of lifetime mortgages (LTMs) across life and mortgage administration and SPV entities. Leading a team, the role holder will oversee the day-to-day and monthly accounting processes and controls.

  • To prepare information for internal, external and statutory reports and accounts.
  • To perform, oversee and manage a range of daily financial processes and maintain effective controls.
  • To identify and implement opportunities to make improvements.
  • To provide SME for planned systems developments and TPA reporting needs and processes where there is an accounting impact and manage the review and testing of any changes to ensure the integrity and control of accounting within is maintained.
  • To maintain excellent and timely financial close disciplines on a monthly basis.
  • To ensure all key reconciliations are performed in a timely manner and to an appropriate standard.
  • To ensure the material controls and risks are reviewed on a regular basis and risk processes are adhered to; act as major point of contact for internal audits where appropriate.
  • To ensure process and accounting documentation is maintained appropriately and updated when necessary.

  • To develop the skill set of the team to ensure that there is strength in depth, career opportunities and demonstrate strong management and leadership.
  • To recognise key customers in both the Finance department and the wider business, ensuring that a strong customer service is developed and maintained.
