At Just we're a business full of ambition and we now have a great opportunity to join our Retirement Lending Underwriting division of the business as it transitions into a Credit Risk centre of excellence on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract based from our Reigate office.
You will deliver a quality business processing service, for all property aspects of the Just Group range of Equity Release products, to both external and internal customers and support the Property Services Manager in a range of BAU and project activity.
You will be someone who is technically able, analytical and works well both as part of a team and individually. A tenacious learner, proactive in learning the knowledge and skills required to do the job well, demonstrating self-awareness and able to take ownership for your own development. You should show enthusiasm with a positive approach, working effectively with people at all levels and from all areas of the business.
Some of the key activities you will focus on are:
•Making lending decisions within your mandate on the more complex new business applications and existing business ports and further advances.
•Policy exception authorisation.
•Undertaking lending reviews on level 1 & 2 mandate holders, TPA & third party lenders.
•Providing advice, training & guidance to level 1 & 2 mandate holders.
•Death and Long Term Care repayment management. Liaising with litigation Solicitors, LPA Receivers and Asset Managers to achieve the best possible outcome for Just and clients.
•Support to all Third Party Administrators on default events.
•Other default events i.e. ground rent & service charge arrears, clients in prison & other vacation events.
•As the Underwriting function builds its capabilities & tools to deliver a best in class function there will be the opportunity to also get involved in a range of project work.
Skills we are looking for
•Ability to make risk based decisions
•CII qualifications including CF1 & ER1 would be desirable or the equivalent IFS qualifications
•Knowledge, understanding and experience of both English & Scotish property law
