Senior Transition Relationship Manager
Location: Reigate or London (Hybrid - 50%)
Full Time – 35 hours
 

Purpose

This key role is responsible for project planning and managing large scheme transitions from contract negotiations through to the end of data cleanse, including the collation and validation of accurate data providing the cornerstone of the transaction and implementation of the contract. Agreeing process and timescales with the trustees and internal key stakeholders ensuring client commitments are met and issues are escalated accordingly, with excellent stakeholder management throughout the process.

This role will lead transitions under our Large Deal Framework and supports colleagues working on our core schemes and small scheme proposition when required.

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage large deals from exclusive appointment, or earlier if required, ensuring timely completion of all tasks in line with client and business expectations, ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders.

  • Act as lead on Large Deal Framework transactions when signed, working closely with Business Development and Operations to ensure alignment of outcomes.

  • Oversee the completion of all regulatory checks and reviews associated with new transactions, including the recording of activity to ensure robust audit trail.

  • Manage data cleanse process with internal and external stakeholders to maximise data quality and create efficiency for the clients and internal stakeholders driving positive outcomes.

  • Assess new schemes signing and allocate the appropriate resource.

  • Provide training and guidance to develop team skills as required to enable individuals to achieve competency levels for both progression and knowledge development

  • Lead team understanding of final data and data queries, ensuring they have skills and capabilities to manage queries.

What we’re looking for 

  • Proven planning and organisational skills with the ability to plan scheme transitions and manage a diverse workload.
  • Able to work under pressure to achieve objectives within agreed timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality.
  • Extremely organised, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
  • Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative/drive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; with the ability to analyse and check data accordingly and efficiently whilst explaining issues to clients in a clear and appropriate manner.
  • A strong negotiator, with good influencing skills, and the ability to handle conflicting priorities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to `Project Manage’ transactions through to conclusion by effectively partnering with Scheme Trustees and EBCs.
  • Good understanding of life and pensions industry essential, in particular DB Pensions and the DB de risking market.
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Experience working in the Pensions Industry for a similar organisation essential.
  • Experienced within the Life and Pensions Industry, preferably within DB Pensions or the DB De-risking Market, with knowledge of buy-ins and buy outs or general de-risking being desirable.
  • Experience of relationship management and/or project management (attained or working towards project management qualifications desirable, e.g. Prince 2, Agile, APM).
  • Proven experience of working with transitions within the larger end of the market desirable
