At Just we're a business full of ambition and we currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our IT team here as an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis from our Reigate office.
You'll work with Architects, other teams across the organisation and vendors to help design, plan, implement and support new solutions as well as enhance our existing technologies.
You'll bring a passion for technology, a strong Microsoft technical skill set, and an ability to deploy and configure production-ready solutions, services and tools for our customers - using automation wherever possible.
The Infrastructure Engineer is a very hands-on position. You will assist other team members in the development and deployment of environments and (cloud) related services for our customers. You will have opportunities to be involved at all stages of a project - covering requirements capture and assessment, cloud services deployment, security and compliance, systems engineering and operational readiness. Finally you will also be involved in the day to day support across the Infrastructure domain ensuring that all environments are monitored, maintained and operational in line with agreed standards and policies.
Day to day as an Infrastructure Engineer:
•Implementation and handover to Operational Support of infrastructure solutions
•Work within the Infrastructure Team in support of BAU processes
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
•Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level
•Interface with other teams across the organization in order to establish and enforce best practices and standards
•Keeping abreast of advancement in technology solutions and offerings and recommending change where required.
•Providing technical guidance and assistance to other team members where necessary
•Responsible for ensuring all compliance and risk issues are understood and highlighted to senior management as they arise
Skill we are looking for:
•Excellent knowledge of Windows Server 2008/12/16/19
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, ADFS, Security, PKI, DNS, DHCP, etc.
•Good scripting skills, ideally PowerShell
•Good knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware
•Good knowledge of Hardware Storage Infrastructure
•Operational experience of managing a Microsoft based infrastructure
•Good working knowledge of Skype
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manger (SCCM) and Operation Manager (SCOM) and Management Suite (OMS)
•Good knowledge of traditional networks, firewalls and load balancers
•Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
•Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to extract, translate and communicate meaningful information at all levels of executives, management and peers
•Strong technical documentation skills; workflows, architectural diagrams, support documentation
