Head of Governance and Technical
Reigate or London – Hybrid (40% office based)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Retail business, as a Head of Governance & Technical, to be accountable for ensuring that our Retail products and services, existing and new, are developed and managed in line with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Reporting into the Retail Lending, Care and Propositions Services Director, you will work on a number of activities including Consumer Duty, reporting and providing consultation on legislative and regulatory requirements to the product and new propositions teams to help develop new products and services
Establish a repeatable product governance framework for the Retail Division that will be in line with The Consumer Duty programme and group policies and support the business in embedding the framework.
Ensure all Retail products, open and closed, follow the appropriate product governance lifecycle, in line with Just Group’s policies and procedures
Ensure all Retail product development is completed in line with appropriate governance, policies and procedures
Head the team that will provide insight and support to retail product teams to meet required governance. Provide challenge on product and services to ensure they continue to deliver target customer outcomes
Head the team that will scan the regulatory and legislative agenda and maintain awareness of developments, where relevant, including assessment of impact on the retail division.
Provide insight and support on regulatory and legislative requirements for any new retail product and service development
Lead and manage a team of Governance and Technical specialists
Skills and Experience:
Experience in understanding and delivering regulatory and/or legislative change
Strong knowledge and experience of the UK Financial Services regulatory perimeter and market place
Ability to work under pressure, in a fast moving environment, to tight deadlines.
Excellent analytical skills
Good communication skills both internally and externally
Ability to negotiate / influence key internal and external stakeholders
Ability to identify, mitigate and manage risk
Good presentation skills
