About the role

We are looking for a Finance Operations Assistant to assist the wider Finance Operations team in providing a full range of finance administration services to the Just Retirement Group of companies. Thereby ensuring our customers, and suppliers are paid in a timely manner, funds received are accounted for correctly, and allocated accurately against the correct product or service.  

In this role you will be required to have excellent interaction with other members of the finance team and the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliations

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Payments Processing via Swift, BACS & Faster Payments

  • Daily Matching & allocation of funds received

  • Journal entry into General Ledger

  • Respond to internal and external finance queries

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team

  • Provide support to Internal and External Auditors

Skills & Experience

  • Numerate degree or commensurate experience

  • Entry level Accounting or Bookkeeping, or studying towards.

  • Prior Accounts experience is desirable

  • Experience of Excel.

  • Good problem analysis and pro-active resolution skills.

  • Ability to work on own and to tight deadlines, maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
