Purpose of the role
work with the Group Risk and Accountable Executives and their senior leadership teams in developing and maintaining an appropriate risk management framework and supporting its implementation by the 1st Line.
drive Just’s Executive Accountable and their senior leadership engagement, including within Group Risk, in formulating and implementing risk specialist frameworks to ensuring that all business areas understand and implement the ERMF requirements of new and fast changing risk profiles and the need to ensure that, as the Just Group grows, its overall risk management and control frameworks continue to develop and support the business.
work with 1st and 2nd Lines to manage workflow of risk and compliance processes across the organisation and maintain the enterprise risk management framework updated in multiple channels.
support the Group Risk with risk reporting and membership and attendance at Just committees and senior management meetings, as needed.

Key Responsibilities
You will play an active role in the development and maintenance of the ERMF and its publication across multiple channels – working with the business areas and other areas within Group Risk to maximise value and manage risks.
Take the lead for ERMF related change initiatives, including deployment and training plans creation and delivery coordination with key stakeholders.
To maintain and support development of Group’s specific frameworks owned by Group Risk, including Conflicts of Interest Framework, Groups Solvency II documentation framework and standards.
You will support Group Risk in developing, educating and embedding risk management practices/ processes and culture within Just that support our enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite, and strategic goals.
You will lead change risk management initiatives for the benefit of Group Risk, following the change risk management framework.
You will coordinate the delivery of the Group’s Internal Model for Operational Risk through the development and maintenance of operational risk scenarios with Risk Business Partners and other key stakeholders.
You will ensure that the Group Risk team is proficient in its use of the Group’s risk management system of record and in supporting Risk Business Partners and the business in the identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting of risks.
You will build a working relationship with internal and external suppliers of risk management systems and tools and ensure that you are sufficiently aware of its functionality to propose and oversee improvements as required.
You will establish a centre of excellence in Risk Operations that provides increasingly effective risk challenge to the business, encouraging high standards of controls design and operational effectiveness and proactive management of issues and risk events.
You will develop your direct reports’ skills, knowledge and awareness so they become proficient in risk management and confident in the business knowledge.
You will take responsibility for ensuring you comply with the company’s procedures, policies, guidelines and reporting.
What we're looking for:
Externally recognised risk management qualification is essential
Proven track record of practical experience of developing and implementing and/ or operating frameworks and processes for risk, compliance, internal audit management.
Significant breadth of experience and knowledge of life and pensions/ within the Financial Services, Insurance or Banking sector.
Experience of large change and transformation planning and implementation.
Proven track record as a people leader who develops, inspires, effectively manages performance, and supports career growth and aspirations of his direct reports.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking ability, able to interpret information from a number of sources and draw together the ‘big picture’ and bring a strategic perspective..
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
Proven project management skills to deliver plans to agreed timescales.
High level of IT literacy including influencing, negotiation, Microsoft Office packages.
High level of compliance/ governance awareness.
Good presentation and report writing skills.
Strong understanding of risk management practices and their application. Ability to identify emerging risk issues and to drive understanding and management.
Good understanding of regulatory context for operation of risk management, including Solvency 2 requirements and PRA expectations.
A service orientated approach towards both internal and external customer is essential.
