Purpose of the role

The PMO Analyst ensures smooth delivery of business change by providing expert coordination and PMO support. You’ll enable effective planning, risk and benefits tracking, governance, and continuous improvement across the Value Stream. This role suits someone proactive and detail-focused, ready to enhance PMO effectiveness and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery management to ensure timely, high-quality project outcomes.

  • Help develop and embed project management standards, processes, and governance.

  • Track and report benefits as initiatives progress.

  • Provide expert guidance to delivery teams for effective change delivery.

Examples of Key Activities

  • Coordinate preparation of reports and materials to support decision-making and communication.

  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships for effective collaboration.

  • Monitor performance and address issues proactively.

  • Support risk and control management, ensuring visibility and timely action.

  • Embed the evolving change delivery model into daily operations.

  • Drive improvements to processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Deliver training to enhance team and Value Stream capability.

What we're looking for

  • Proven PMO experience managing programmes and portfolios in Agile, multi-disciplinary environments.

  • Strong project management skills: planning, tracking, reporting, risk management, and issue escalation.

  • Expertise in Agile and hybrid delivery models, with solid understanding of the end-to-end change lifecycle.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI, and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to design and implement PMO standards, processes, and documentation that simplify complexity.

  • Skilled in problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and synthesising information logically.

  • Experience delivering training and driving continuous improvement in change delivery.
