Purpose of role
Reporting to the Head of Tax, as the Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to the Just Group.
You will assist in the in-house tax function across a range of taxes and business units. The role includes a mix of tax reporting, compliance and ongoing advisory projects, with exposure to stakeholders from across the business including at executive level.

Key responsibilities
We are a relatively small team supporting a complex and growing business at an exciting time.
Tax Advisory
Provide tax advice to the business on new business propositions, projects and transactions.
Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders in the business to proactively manage tax risk arising from operations.
Compliance & Reporting
The majority of compliance and reporting delivery work is performed by outsource providers or by internal finance teams, with outputs reviewed by the Tax team prior to HMRC submission.
The role accountabilities include:
Manage the outsourced annual corporation tax computations for the Just Group, including Pillar 2
Review of accurate and timely year quarterly tax provisions for IFRS and PRA reporting for review.
Analysis of expenditure in key areas to ensure appropriate tax treatment.
Provide support to the business for Solvency II reporting and USGAAP reporting.
Preparation of audit deliverables.
Review of Quarterly Instalment Payment calculations.
Operational
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and enhanced risk management.
What we’re looking for:
Qualified accountant (ACA,CA,ACCA,CIMA) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) is essential for this role
Expert accounting and UK corporate tax technical knowledge in a financial services context; FS VAT knowledge and practical experience would be an advantage
Strong communication skills, collaborative work ethic and ability to manage and influence varied stakeholders
Experience of managing tax compliance and reporting – either in-house or at a specialist team in practice
