We are looking for a Derivatives Collateral Manager to manage and be accountable for the daily collateral activity across derivatives repo, and longevity reinsurance for the Group. In addition, in this role you will look to challenge and improve existing processes and controls.
Responsibilities
Supervision, review and approval of daily derivative collateral margin calls (variation margin and initial margin), repo margin calls and less frequent reinsurance collateral movements
Point of contact and development of relationships with counterparties
Daily collaboration on reconciliation of derivative positions within TriResolve, identifying and resolving differences and breaks
Continuously look to challenge and improve existing processes
Take ownership of counterparty/internal queries in shared mailbox
Perform timely and accurate monthly reporting to various stakeholders and committees
Ensure process mapping and documentation related to responsibilities is regularly maintained and updated, especially as system changes occur
Monthly SOX control attestations and providing thorough evidence
Excellent communication and interaction with external and internal auditors and financial controls team
Take the lead on new collateral and liquidity related projects.
Skills & Experience
Extensive collateral management experience essential
Portfolio reconciliation experience essential
Knowledge of derivative products essential
Knowledge of securities essential
Experience of process enhancement
Strong knowledge of derivative instruments, cash and securities collateral requirements and trade lifecycles
Strong knowledge of corporate/government bonds
Background of enhancing processes and implementing robust controls
Experience using TriResolve
Technology software skills to utilise accounting, treasury and collateral management software
Knowledge of repo and reinsurance agreements would be advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a good application of financial controls
Experience of system implementation would be advantageous
