Purpose

The Investment Project Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our investment strategy team by managing project timelines, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. While the role is positioned within the investment strategy team, it will also involve interaction with the CIO and the broader Investment Leadership team.

Job Role Accountabilities

Working with the relevant investment strategy leads to manage our relationships with external manager

  • This includes developing and managing project plans to onboard new managers and mandates
  • Any manager terminations or changes to Investment Manager Agreements or mandates
  • Update the project channels and key stakeholders with project updates on a weekly basis
  • Contribute to the writing of committee papers and drafting PowerPoint presentations.
  • Coordinate meetings with external asset managers, including setting agendas, collating feedback from across the business, and taking and publishing meeting notes.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders (Risk, Capital, Legal, etc) as part of the due diligence process
  • Coordinate the preparation of packs for quarterly manager forums, including setting meetings and agendas, preparing packs, producing action logs, and preparing minutes.
  • Check and review external manager fees and internal deal invoices for sign off
  • Manage the annual and quarterly manager reviews and attestations process

Collaboration across the broader investment team

  • Write minutes for the monthly Asset Liability Committee
  • Produce packs for various forums and help document new investment ideas
  • Maintain and update databases and records with accurate information
  • Produce regular management information (MI) for various committees
  • Provide support to the Private Credit team to coordinate external meetings and organise event and travel logistics

For the CIO and Investment Leadership Team

  • Maintenance of the Investment Leadership Team Tracker for Committee and board papers
  • Coordination of the CIO’s quarterly Investment Committee presentation
  • Assist with ad hoc presentations and projects from the Investment Leadership Team

 Examples of Key Activities

  • Develop and manage project plans to ensure the smooth execution of investment strategy initiatives
  • Collaborate with the strategy lead to secure stakeholder approval for new asset classes and/or asset managers
  • Coordination of the CIO’s quarterly Investment Committee presentation

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong organisational, multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and initiative 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage.
  • Resourceful and diligent.
  • Good at building relationships.
  • Coding skills, like Python would be an advantage

Experience

  • Experience working for dynamic teams and the demands associated with a fast growing business
  • Experience in asset management or a related field is preferred
