Proposition Governance Lead

London – Hybrid (min 50% office based)

We have an exciting and brand new role within our Commercial and Propositions team as a Proposition Governance Lead, to support the Retail Proposition teams with Product and Proposition activities.

Reporting into the Head of Governance & Technical, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive great outcomes. You will work closely with propositional owners on new developments and act as a champion for the Retail governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product lead and development teams for a new product launch to ensure Governance practices are understood and adhered to.  

  • Maintain and lead the evolution of our Proposition Development Procedure and our Proposition Governance Procedure.   

  • Evaluate data from Retail governance committees and identifying trends which could impact customer outcomes and leading on the documentation of the resolution.  

  • Provide required reporting to internal committees within the specified timescales and owning governance actions thereafter.  

  • Lead the Governance and Oversight activity across our Retail propositions. 

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Retail and the wider Just business units and acting as a champion for Retail Governance processes. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working within a governance or technical team in the pensions or wider retirement market

  • Experience of implementing/embedding Consumer Duty or other Governance activities   

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Consumer Duty and regulatory requirements for manufacturers of insurance, lending and investment products. 

  • Able to understand and interpret the regulations and rules applicable product manufacturers 

  • Ability to summarise complex subjects for varying audiences 

  • Able to engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including senior management. 

  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills  

  • Experience or wider working knowledge within Technical roles for wider investment products such as ISA’s or GIA’s would be advantageous.
