We have a truly unique and brand new opportunity for a Proposition Director to join our HUB Financial Solutions (HUB FS) business, and lead on how we build, develop and communicate effectively with all of our direct and Platform customers across all media.
Supporting and reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer (HUB FS) will involve being a commercially focused customer champion (internally and externally), to design, improve and managing customer propositions to serve identified consumer needs and business objectives. You will lead direct to customer communication content, and customer journey mapping ensuring that our customers at all times understand the services and products they take from us.
Manage and evidence ongoing development of the proposition life cycle and overarching propositions strategy for HUB FS across all existing and new propositions to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Use insight to maintain a deep understanding of the needs and wants of consumer and business facing audiences and develop motivating headline propositions to demonstrate how HUB FS can assist these audiences.
Work closely and collaboratively with the key senior stakeholders to inform and influence the propositions pipeline for all key partners.
Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Development Director to develop commercial solutions and offers to prospective new partners, focusing on the end customer and core target markets.
Lead the team to maintain and manage the in life portfolio of propositions to ensure that the intended value is being driven, making recommendations for improvement or withdrawal where appropriate.
Lead on all aspects of the business case creation for each new proposition and gain buy in from the appropriate forums for approval, funding and change resource.
Own the proposition development pipeline including the application of prioritisation principles and alignment to the proposition delivery roadmap.
Provide proposition expertise and leadership on key strategic business projects and actively be the voice of the customer within these.
Incorporate consumer insight/data and management information to maintain and constantly improve existing propositions in line with the Consumer Duty.
Evaluate commercial viability of proposition improvements and manage them through to launch
Skills and Experience:
Proven track record of leading on proposition life cycle and strategic development within Financial Services
Strong commercial background and experience of building investment cases that drive optimum business and customer outcomes.
Strong understanding of the investment and insurance risk and regulatory environment.
Highly developed and effective communications skills with competency at presenting strategic proposals from Executive level down.
Strong skills in building trusting and productive relationships within matrix style organisations with the demonstrable ability to work influentially with senior stakeholders both internal and external
Broad experience of using Customer Insight and segmentation to develop Customer centric propositions that drive a step change in business performance, customer experience and advocacy
Knowledge of progressive technology and efficient communication methods, e.g Generative AI, also essential as is a strong understanding of the changing customer servicing pressures of, and opportunities within, the wealth management industry.
Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities
Strong documenting, presentational and organisational skills,
Deep understanding of all aspects of proposition leadership including risk and compliance factors and ability to weigh and positively respond to/resolve issues and risks.
Proven understanding of Investment, and Life Insurance market, products and distribution
Experience leading in complex organisation and of working collaboratively within that organisation to achieve outcomes.
