Job Purpose
As part of the architecture team, you will create the frontend architecture for mobile and web applications of our industry leading pension system. With your strong background as frontend developer, you will be responsible for defining the architecture and technology roadmap for the new mobile app and web app. You will define the frontend architecture with scalability, code maintainability and testability in mind. You will set the architecture standards and guidelines that will help the engineering team to implement the application.
Job Role Accountabilities
Understand our business model and requirements.
Define and document the frontend architecture for our mobile and web applications.
Refine high level architecture down to a lower level design.
Work with the backend architecture team to define the API contracts.
Communicate the frontend architecture vision to other architects and the engineering team.
Examples of Key activities
The frontend architect will work with the business team to understand the UI requirements and define the architecture in the mobile & web apps.The frontend architect will also work with the backend architects to define the API requirements.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Significant experience as developer working on mobile (iPhone and Android) and web applications.
Experience with React, React Native.
Experience transpiling components for both React Native and web.
Experience in designing and building REST APIs.
Ability to design frontend architecture with security and performance in mind.
In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS and ES6 and Javascript design patterns.
Knowledge on testing methodologies for frontend applications.
Strong communication skills to describe your ideas to your peers and managers.
Knowledge of Typescript, Single Page Application and Redux is a plus but not essential.
